Debugging requires poking around with the power on. There is one big rule: AVOID THE PLASTIC COATED WIRES - THEY ARE 110V. If you try the stuff we are suggesting, proceed at your own risk!If having the power on makes you nervous, leave it off and just look at the things we are talking about. Things like broken wires, cruddy contacts, switches that don't really open/close can all be seen and fixed without shocking yourself.
