SPDT zero switch

Here we see the back side of the replay register, and the SPDT zero switch is highlighted. The register has a couple credits on it, so the top two switch blades are the ones we want to always be connected.

There is a rule that you should never bend the moving blade, so the right way to adjust these three switches is to reset the replay register to zero (the black plate with the spring attached will fall down), then misadjust the top blade so it contacts the center one, and misadjust the bottom blade so it doesn't contact the center one.

That's it. The game will work without credits, and putting it back like it's supposed to be is easy.

If you want to look at a schematic, see the section on replay reset and the start cycle. It's best to check the schematic and verify you are mangling the right switches and there is nothing odd about your game that would make this not work. If you are concerned, drop me a comment and I'll look at the schematic.

white space filler - SPDT

So what is SPDT? It's an acronym for Singe Pole, Double Throw. The single pole is the center switch blade, and it can be moved in two directions. At the end of each throw, it contacts another blade, so it's double throw.

If it only contacted a blade in one direction, it would be SPST.
